Music Opportunities at COTM

RESONANCE PRAISE TEAM:

Resonance means:  “A quality of richness and significance, evoking a response”

We are vessels of the Holy Spirit that resonate His truth through our music.  Resonance is an energy that creates beautiful sounds; it is the force behind music.  The Spirit of God is the force behind all that we do as we lead His people in worship each week.

JOIN US!  You will be asked to come to a rehearsal and participate to see if this ministry is right for you at this time.  Rochelle will answer any of your questions.  If you decide that you wish to join, you will receive a Resonance Covenant to prayerfully sign as an indication to your commitment to serving COTM in this capacity.  Teens to adults are welcome to join.

You may choose to sing in the traditional service, contemporary service, or BOTH!

REHEARSALS: We rehearse on Thursday nights from 7:00-9:00 p.m.

I give the praise team a 6-week break in the summer.

RESONANCE BELL CHOIR:

This group plays 2 octaves of  Yamaha tone chimes.  Our season is from September through May.  We play at various occasions as well as Christmas Eve, Easter Sunday, Good Friday, etc.  No previous bell experience is necessary.  They are easy and fun to play!

Teens to adults are welcome to join.

REHEARSALS:  we rehearse on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month from 7:00-8:00 p.m.

RESONANCE YOUTH BAND:

This group has started as student instrumental group.  They play on special church days (Christmas Eve, Easter, and Pentecost).  Adults are welcome to play as well!  We hold special practices after church.  One year of instrument study is recommended.

CHILDREN’S  MUSICALS:

Children (ages 5-12) perform at various times (Mother’s Day, Easter, Christmas Eve) and prepare special Bible-based musicals.  They have performed “Angels Aware”, “One Starry Night” "Jump For Jesus!" and “Levite Genes”.  I keep practices to a minimum by handing out CD’s and scripts to practice once a week at home.
