Our Mission

Mission Statement:
(Our reason for being)

"Making disciples for Christ .”

Vision Statement:
(What we feel God     calling us to do)

“To be a church of spiritually empowered people who let the light of Christ shine through us to our community so that others are drawn to God"

   Community

We believe the Church of the Messiah is a Christian community.  The congregation is loving, welcoming and committed to Christ.  New members are enthusiastically incorporated into the Body of Christ.  Healing (body, emotions, spirit) is sought through prayer.  We strive to model Christ through our worship, education, and community functions while providing support for individuals and family units.

    Education

We believe in providing Bible-based Christian education for all ages and personal help for individuals to grow in their walk with the Lord.

    Evangelism

We believe in sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ, individually and as a church, with unbelievers.

    Missions

We believe in supporting missionary ministers that are actively spreading the Good News - locally and globally.

    Outreach

We believe in demonstrating the compassion of Jesus to all who are hurting and in need.

    Stewardship

We believe we are entrusted by God, individually and as a church, to be God’s stewards.  We prayerfully and faithfully manage His gifts of time, talent, and money for His kingdom.  The Biblical tithe is the basis of our monetary giving to the church.  Members discover and use their spiritual gifts, their talents and their time for building up Christ’s body.

    Worship

We believe in providing a worship service rich in the Episcopal tradition and complemented by contemporary praise music.  The presence of the Holy Spirit is welcomed; sermons are Biblically-based and provide meaning to our daily lives; personal prayers and intercessions are encouraged during Prayers of the People, and the Peace is passed with joy.
