Ps. 22:22 (NRSV) “I will tell of Your name to my brothers and sisters; in the midst of the congregation I will praise You.”
Our music mission is to:
1) Praise our Creator through Psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs (Ps.43:5)
2) Use the gifts God has given us to edify the Body of Christ (Heb.13:15)
3) Proclaim truth and Biblical doctrine through song (Ps.105:1-2)
4) Exhort one another to good works (James 5:13)
In the 9:00 Traditional Service, we have a small vocal team that leads the hymns and special songs. Practice for this takes place at 8:35 a.m. before the service.
The children of the church sing at various times of the year in the service. Practices take place during the Sunday School hour with an occasional special practice after church.
In the 10:30 Contemporary Service, the praise team “Resonance” leads the congregation.
Resonance refers to “a quality of richness and significance, evoking a response”.
Our goal in “Resonance” is to resonate the Spirit through our music and to lead the congregation in open and intimate worship with God.
There is unspeakable joy that results when a person is “in tune” with our Creator. When we are reconciled to Christ through faith, the peace of God frees us to live in our “natural frequency”, in dynamic relationship with Him.
We resonate Him!
We do have openings in Resonance. Anyone of high school age and older may join. We rehearse on Thursday nights from 7:00-9:00 p.m. in the sanctuary.
