Small Groups
There are a variety of small groups for adults at Church of the Messiah. Some of these groups focus on Bible study, accountability, service, worship, or formation around a special theme. All of our small groups provide an opportunity for weekly or bi-weekly fellowship. They are places where you can become incorporated into community, be ministered to and minister to others. In essence, they become your spiritual family. These groups are organic, that is, they arise out of particular needs and are formed as the Spirit leads. They are all lead by a leader or co-leaders. The leaders are accountable to the Vestry, Rector, and mission and values of COM. If you would like more information about Small Groups you may call the church office at 540-786-3100.
COTM Dinner/Lunch Groups
What are they: A group of approximately 5-9 people who will meet for dinner or lunch at least 3-4 times in a 6 month period.
Why: An opportunity to socialize and get to know your brothers and sisters at Messiah by sharing a meal and conversation together.
Where: In your home, a restaurant, a picnic or wherever you want to meet. Each person/couple in the group would have the opportunity to host or plan an evening or noon day meal.
When: Groups would gather for lunch or dinner, a cook-out, pot luck, your choice.
